In case you haven’t heard, Ono Poké has been bringing Hawaiian flavors to Birmingham for quite awhile — and we’ve been loving it. The poké (pronounced poe-kay) restaurant opened their first location at The Pizitz Food Hall and experienced great feedback from the community. It was only logical that they would soon expand.
Their newest location is in Edgewood, next to Edgewood Creamery, and opens tomorrow, October 5th. The space features a turf accent on the wall with a large neon “Mahalo” sign on it. (Mahalo means “thank you” in Hawaiian culture.
We were lucky enough to attend the soft opening last night and snapped some photos of the new location and some new menu items.
New Menu Items
The new menu brings patrons favorites like seaweed salad, sushi burritos and poké fries.
