Home for the holidays? According to Laurie Bowman, Corporate Designer for La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries, early October is a great time to begin planning how to spruce up your home for the upcoming holiday season.

1) For the holidays, you can’t beat home sweet home

If you’re the family favorite for hosting holiday gatherings, making your home look fresh and new for friends and family is practically a holiday tradition. Begin transitioning your home for holiday entertaining now with the latest decor from La-Z-Boy.

“Everyone wants to start anew for the holidays. That is when your company comes and families visit. People want their homes to look the best that they can. We help provide the look that customers want. They want something that looks great, but is also comfortable,” said Corporate Designer Laurie Bowman.

2) Get the help that inspires your holiday vision

Customer service is paramount at La-Z-Boy.

The designers and salespeople will help create a vision for the customer, even if the customer isn’t exactly sure what they’re looking for. Customers in the La-Z-Boy Gallery can touch the thousands of fabrics and leather samples available. La-Z-Boy Galleries pride themselves on their wide selection of furniture pieces, including sofas, recliners, rugs, lamps, tables, artwork and much more.

3) It’s not too early to get started

You know the holiday season is full of hustle and bustle. It’s the same in home furnishings. “If you are going to do any special ordering or custom orders it will take 6-8 weeks, especially with October approaching and Thanksgiving right around the corner,” said Bowman. “We put in 12 hour days, 7 days a week to make sure everyone can have a beautiful living room or dining room before company arrives,” she added.

“If you are a designer, this is in your blood, so when you get up from the table and you have created a vision that the customer can see and love, they don’t shake your hand, they hug you! I’ve had some customers cry.”

“I love my job. It is so rewarding,” declared Bowman.
