Alabama Spay/Neuter (Irondale)

“Each year, Alabama animal shelters euthanize over 150,000 dogs and cats. Three out of four are healthy, adoptable dogs and cats waiting to be someone’s loving pet. Providing a humane, long-term solution to this tragedy was the incentive for the creation of the Alabama Spay/Neuter.”

Alabama Spay/Neuter has spayed and neutered more than 100,000 dogs and cats over the past 10 years. The clinic serves Jefferson County and surrounding counties from its location at 2721 Crestwood Boulevard. Pets whose owners can’t make the drive to the clinic can catch a free ride on the Hip-to-Snip Express.

Low-cost spay and neuter pricing at Alabama Spay/Neuter, including a flea treatment:

• Female dog: $100
• Male dog: $80
• Female cat: $75
• Male cat: $55

Low-Cost Spay And Neuter Voucher Programs

Alabama Animal Adoption Society and Friends of Cats and Dogs Foundation offer low-cost spay and neuter vouchers. Purchase a voucher from one of these organizations, and redeem it at a participating vet (see map and list below).

IMPORTANT: Call the participating vet first to make an appointment and let them know you plan to use a low-cost spay and neuter voucher. Ask if there are any additional costs not covered by the voucher.
