United Way of Central Alabama is seeking to fill three critical senior administrative support level positions this month.
What type of candidate is best suited for this position ?
According to Tyler Lowros, Vice President of Operations of United Way of Central Alabama, “Candidates for these positions should be skilled in communication, organization and technology. They should also know the importance of teamwork.”
In all three positions, United Way is seeking candidates who have executive level experience.
The three open positions are:
Assistant to the Executive VP & Chief Operating Officer and VP of Operations
The primary role of the Assistant to the Executive VP & Chief Operating Officer and VP of Operations is to provide day-to-day assistance and administrative support to United Way of Central Alabama’s Executive VP & Chief Operating Officer, Kelly Carlton, and to the VP of Operations, Tyler Lowros.

Administrative Assistant for Finance
The primary role of the Administrative Assistant for Finance is to support the Vice President of Finance, Chris Luketic, through general office administration and offer clerical and administrative support to other department staff and volunteers as needed.

Community Initiatives Project Coordinator/Office Manager
The primary role of the Project Coordinator/Office Manager is to provide programmatic and administrative coordination and support for the Senior VP of Initiatives, Karla Lawrence. The Coordinator works closely with the program activities within the department to ensure effective and efficient operation and maintains a professional and cooperative working relationship with all initiatives within the department and the community. Some initiatives included are 2-1-1, Free Tax Preparation, Meals on Wheels and Veterans programs.
