The Craft Burger opened the doors to its newest location in downtown Birmingham on July 2. Have you given it a taste?

The Beginning of The Craft Burger

The Craft Burger first hit the greater Birmingham area in 2017 when owner Barry O’Hare opened the restaurant’s first location in Hoover. (Find it next to Publix on Caldwell Mill Road.)

But with Birmingham unveiling an uprising of restaurants downtown, a second location was in the cards. I think it’s a great addition!

The Location Difference

The Hoover location of The Craft Burger is nice, but if you’re looking for that downtown city edge that only Birmingham can provide, then you’ll instantly fall head over heels for its newest location.

The eatery sits between Jimmy John’s and Roly Poly at 321 20th St. N., and it definitely makes a tasty addition to sandwich row. (Though they do offer a few awesome hot sammy’s of their own!)

The Menu

The Craft Burger’s new downtown location will feature a near identical menu to its Hoover location, but will have a few extra items to choose from (point scored for downtown!).

The burger menu is pretty awesome with add-ons like bacon or a fried egg, and they have a kids’ burger too.

They also offer other tasty items, including:

  • Turkey burgers
  • Hot dogs
  • Hot sandwiches
  • Salad

Side options are definitely worth your while, featuring:

  • Fries (original and seasoned)
  • Chips
  • Tater tots
  • Pork rinds
  • Coleslaw

Prices aren’t half bad either, ranging from $6.49-$7.50.

When To Visit

As of now, the restaurant is only open during the hours of 11am and 3pm Monday through Friday. But they plan to increase burger time as business progresses downtown. I have a feeling it will!
