A new indoor baseball/softball training facility is coming to Hoover. Are you ready to play ball?

Where Will The Facility Be Located?

The new facility will span 15,000 square feet and will be located on Montgomery Hwy.

This road is pretty packed already, so how will such a large facility fit? With some demolition and highway reconfiguration, of course!

Orange Development’s plan is to demolish two buildings – Mr. Transmission and the former Mexico Lindo restaurant located at 1539 and 1541 Montgomery Hwy. in Hoover.

The development company also has plans to acquire the Quik Pawn shop next door for further expansions.

“It’s a pretty big project,” Hoover Mayor Mayor Brocato said. “It’s going to bring a business into our city that we really love… these are the types of things that every city wants to see occur in redevelopment and something that is going to be friendly to all our families.”

What Will The Facility Include?

A whole lot of cool stuff, that’s what!

The facility will include eight pitching and batting lanes, two golfing simulators, an equipment shop and an event room. Sounds pretty cool, right?

“We’re very excited about the redevelopment that is occurring on the northern end of Hoover,” Brocato said. “Essentially it’s going to bring a very family-friendly business into our city.”

Word Of A Second Facility

A second facility is also said to be in the works. The development, which will be 3.5 acres, has plans to be built off U.S. 280 in the Meadowbrook area.

No other information has been released as of now about the second facility, because developers are eagerly working on the first Hoover location right now.

When Will The Facility Be Complete?

Unfortunately, since the project is in the early development stages, there is no set date for when the facility will be complete.

But, like always, Bham Now will keep you up to date on all the progress. Stay tuned!
