In three of the Birmingham area’s hippest neighborhoods and business districts, you will find the best vintage stores in the city. Want to find that vintage Alabama t-shirt or that vinyl record of your favorite band? Check out where you can find your vintage treasures in the Magic City.

Avondale

At 4909 5th Avenue South,  you’ll find vintage clothing and design boutique at Manitou Supply founded by David Brown and Luciana Giovinazzo. Specializing in vintage casual apparel, this is the perfect to find the vintage Alabama t-shirt that you have been on the hunt for. The merchandise varies from 60’s to the 90’s apparel to modern products like designer bags, PF Flyers footwear, and more.

The vintage clothes are hand-picked by David and Luciana, are in great condition, and are reasonably priced. With a mixture of vintage clothing, furniture, and modern pieces this store is a true gem. Manitou is a special addition to the Magic City not only in it’s vintage wear but in it’s mission to give back to the community.

Giovinazzo said, “We like to give back to the community that supports us, so we also host art exhibits, music shows and pop-ups; always free to the public.”

If you don’t have the time to visit their store front you can also visit their Etsy shop at: https://www.etsy.com/shop/ManitouSupply

Make sure next time you are on the hunt for that special gift or that vintage concert tee that you check out Manitou Supply!

“We enjoy helping people find the right vintage piece that caters to their unique fashion perspective. That is why we love what we do” said Giovianazzo.

Zoe’s in Forest Park  is Birmingham’s legendary vintage clothing shop that has been serving the Magic City for two decades. The store is organized and separated by mens and women, and the sections are then organized by sizes, types, and colors. Organizing the items by colors is very helpful when a customer comes in looking for something like a costume — which is what many Zoe’s customers come in looking for! On the corner of Clairmont Ave in Forest Park, Zoe’s never disappoints in their display out front (as seen in the photo above). Stop by during the week and you might see a beautiful vintage wedding gown on display or a row of vintage fur coats! Zoe’s is the place to find your one of a kind vintage treasure.
