Mostly we’re just trying to preserve what’s here. So there’s not an extensive build-out that’s going to occur. There’s a lot of beauty hidden behind these old, nasty gray walls. It just needs a good bath and to be cleaned up a little bit.

Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken will be opening its first Alabama location at The Battery.

Their fresh, never frozen, hormone-free chicken is fried in peanut oil and served with all the Southern sides.

This restaurant will be the perfect snack before and after an amazing show at the Syndicate Lounge.

Birmingham District Brewing Co. will also be opening its doors at The Battery to serve special craft beers. Give them a follow on insta to show some love.

We got a little worried when the new mixed-use development on 20th street left The Syndicate Lounge without a home.

But we’re thrilled for them to bring their tunes and brews to The Battery for Birmingham to enjoy again.

SRS has said that vendors could start moving in as early as March.  As always, we’ll keep you updated on how the construction goes.
