Alabama Summer Skies: Great American Solar Eclipse

Alabama Summer Skies series wants to teach you a little something about the upcoming solar eclipse. Head down to Samford University’s Planetarium to get in the watching mood for the highly anticipated event. Admission, as always, is free. Expect to grab a Doodles treat to snack on. 2017 Solar Eclipse Viewing Event: Sun Meet Moon

• Vulcan Park and Museum

Vulcan Park and Museum wants you to take full advantage of the upcoming solar eclipse. Head there for so you can get a great view of both Bham’s iconic statue and the disappearing sun. Get there by 1:31 pm to get the full view. They are also giving out free solar viewing glasses with the purchase of a ticket to the observatory. More Information.
