Standards for Excellence accredited organizations participate in an intensive three-stage independent review process that confirms they meet all the benchmarks in the Standards for Excellence code.

Along with being recognized for their governance, Coosa Riverkeeper clean water programs include their Swim Guide and Fish Guide.  They were also recognized earlier this year as the Alabama Rivers Alliance 2017 Group of the Year.
