Birmingham restaurants with amazing patio dining-part 2
Reading time: 4 minutes
After all the feedback on our last post about great restaurants for summer patio dining, we decided to add a few more to the list! It’s hard to beat great food, an amazing atmosphere, scenic views and twinkly lights. Check out some more of our favorites!
Bottega
Frank Stitt’s renowned restaurant sits on Highland Avenue in Five Points. Bottega, the more formal dining side offers cuisine inspired from the Italy, which is crafted with seasonal Southern ingredients.
Bottega Cafe, the more casual dining experience, has amazing pizzas fresh out of their large wood-burning oven, as well as delicious roasted vegetables and to-die-for Mac and cheese.
Bottega fills up fast and their classic patio under the famous green awnings is hard to beat, so come early and try to make a reservation!
The Marble Ring
Have you heard of this new addition to Avondale? This Speakeasy has a hidden entry in a phone booth within Hot Diggity Dogs and throws you headlong back into the roaring 20s. You might have seen the luxurious patio and thought it was a part of Fancy’s on 5th, but think again!
The inside is all decked out with huge crystal chandeliers and waitresses dressed in flapper dresses. Plush pull cords let the servers know when you are ready to order. I recommend their drink called Love Incidentally.
Though not technically a restaurant, the Marble Ring allows food from Hot diggity dogs to be served. I’m deliberately not giving too much away because the mystery of the experience is a must. Try out the Marble Ring (and their decadent patio) this weekend! See more of Bham Now’s favorite rooftop bars here.
The Southern
Located in uptown, the Southern kitchen and bar has one of the best rooftop seating areas in the city.
Uptown is home to lots of great nightlife and the Southern is no exception. Try their ribeye mac and cheese or their pesto chicken club. Check out more of their menu today.
The Filling Station
A favorite among Crestwood locals, the Filling Station offers a fun place to meet and eat in this up and coming area of Birmingham.
Right down the road from Avondale, Crestwood is full of lots of hidden gems like the Filling Station. This cafe and bar’s casual and friendly atmosphere makes it a must try for the people of Birmingham this summer. And you get a free appetizer when you bring your dog along!
Try one of their amazing pizzas and 24 beers on draft, with 12 from local breweries. Your tastebuds will be happy.
Vino
This intimate, elegant restaurant in English Village was voted one of Birmingham’s best outdoor patios by Birmingham magazine and definitely deserves a spot on our list!
Treat yourself to a delicious entree like their Capellini Vino. On Mondays you can take advantage of their merry Monday deal and indulge in $5 margaritas and $5 appetizers with buck a shuck oysters! See more of their menu here.
