Adorable and adoptable pet of the week: Mason

MAson Adoptable Pet Weekly GBHS BhamNow

What’s better than an adoptable pet weekly? The people who can make it happen. Thanks to the Greater Birmingham Humane Society (GBHS) we will be featuring a pet that is looking for their FURever home. This week’s pup is quite the looker.

Mason is a 3-year old Mastiff mix weighing 58lbs. This precious pup is a bundle of sweetness with a cute personality. Unfortunately, he happens to be heartworm positive. Luckily, GBHS has a Foster-to-Adopt program that will help him recover.

The program allows for Mason to get treated until his worms clear up whilst also letting him go home with an adoptive family. All treatment costs are covered by GBHS. After he recovers, the adoption will be finalized.

If you are interested in adopting Mason, you can find the adoption application on their website.

All adoptable pets from the GBHS are neutered/spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on all vaccines. They also have more than just cats, dogs and puppies. They sometimes have birds, ferrets, reptiles, pigs, bunnies and other pets up for adoption. Adoption fees are as follows:

    • Cats, kittens, dogs or puppies:
      • Animals six months and under: $50

      • Rabbits: $25
      • Ferrets: $50
      • Rats, Guinea Pigs & Hamsters: $10 for one or $15 for a pair
