Here are some fun facts about Theodor Seuss Geisel, aka Dr. Seuss:
- National Read Across America Day is held on Dr. Seuss’ birthday.
- He wasn’t actually a Dr., but he did receive an honorary Doctorate from his alma mater, Dartmouth.
- Green Eggs and Ham was created on a bet that Dr. Seuss couldn’t come up with a story using 50 or fewer words
- R.E.M. and the Red Hot Chili Peppers both have songs with Dr. Seuss references. That rocks!
