Castin' N Catchin' Congenital Heart Center Children's of Alabama Fishing Tournament
Castin’ ‘n Catchin’ for Congenital Heart Disease features a great payout, door prizes and family-friendly activities throughout the day. Proceeds benefit the Pediatric and Congenital Heart Center at Children’s of Alabama. Make plans for this year’s tournament, set for May 5-6 at the Goose Pond Colony Resort on Lake Guntersville.

A fishing tournament is always a boatload of fun. (pun intended) This year, maybe try fishing for a cause at the Castin’ ‘N Catchin’ Fishing Tournament.

Captain D’s Castin’ ‘N Catchin’ is a fishing tournament event that benefits the Pediatric and Congenital Heart Center at Children’s of Alabama. The center offers patient and family care for cardiovascular services. They maintain a variety of important personnel such as surgeons, child life counselors, nutritionists and other cardiology related staff.

Since this is only their second year hosting the tournament, you can imagine it is only going to get bigger and better. Last year, $105,000 was raised for the center and the goal is to raise even more.

The event will start the weekend of May 5th at Goose Pond Colony Resort on Lake Guntersville. Friday, May 5th at 6pm there will be a dinner and meeting for all of the anglers participating. The fishing will begin on Saturday, May 6th as early as 5:30am. Weigh-in will start at 2pm later that afternoon.
