Ritch’s Pharmacy is now hiring a customer service/cashier team member for our Mountain Brook location.
Starting salary depends on experience, and we offer several schedule options.
The primary responsibility is to provide friendly, fast, and accurate checkout services for our customers. You may be required to perform a variety of duties depending on business needs. Be flexible and willing to work in a team environment.
The essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
Assist customers with product selection, providing a high level of customer service
Accurately transact customer items for checkout on POS units and all acceptable methods of payment
Maintain a clean and tidy checkout area
Assist in stocking, rotating merchandise, and pricing labels
Perform other duties as required and/or assigned
The position requirements include, but are not limited to:
Listen to the needs of the customer and communicate clearly
Attain knowledge of POS functions and payment systems
Basic Math skills
Ability to function in a fast-paced work environment
Must be able to stand and walk on a hard or concrete surface, bend, reach, climb, kneel, squat, reach overhead and side to side. Some light lifting required
Perform cleaning and light maintenance of work area
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Relevant Cashier experience is preferred
Completion of drug screening and background check
Alternating Saturdays but no Sundays or Holidays
