Responsibilities:

•    Ensure Family Stability case referrals are assigned within program timelines and followed up with appropriately.
•    Manage assigned direct caseload and provide quality case management and housing counseling services
•    Provide supervision to FSS Case Manager to facilitate all enrolled clients achieve household stability goals, as well as student academic success.
•    Conduct direct assessments with clients to set goals as per the program manual and funding requirements
•    Maintain client records and input ongoing client notes into program’s case management software, including intake documents, releases and ongoing progress towards goals. Maintains accurate records in accordance with professional, agency and applicable grant standards.
•    Conduct review of FSS Case Manager client paperwork, goals, case notes and other files to ensure proper documentation.
•    Facilitate weekly supervision meetings to ensure program provides high-quality, client-centered service
•    Connect families with needed and available community resources, including FHE workshops and VITA.
•    Follow-up with clients and community resources as appropriate to document use/success of referral
•    Adhere to program guidelines and prescribed service delivery as identified by funding sources and program manual
•    Professional development towards achieving HUD Certification
•    Participate in regular staff meetings, training programs, and supervisory sessions
•    Adhere to agency policies, procedures and the professional code of ethics
•    Participate in Community Initiatives’ Continuous Quality Improvement Plan
•    Train/onboard other program staff as needed
•    Other duties as assigned

Knowledge & Skills:

Ability to work with a team
Presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Ability to establish rapport
Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft and database

Education/Experience
Master’s degree in SW, Counseling, or Social Service-related degree preferred License preferred
2-3 years of supervisory experience preferred
Case Management experience working with high-risk populations, budgeting and housing counseling a plus School-based experience a plus

Working Conditions:

Normal office environment
Occasional work in the community – including travel to and from sites Some after-hours and/or weekend work may be required
Occasional out of town travel

Requirements:
Must meet and maintain eligibility requirements to be insured by UWCA’s insurance Valid Alabama driver’s license
Reliable transportation
Proof of automobile insurance commensurate with State law
Background checks to include but not limited to criminal record, drug screen
