Responsibilities
- Process checks in software system based on accounts payable registers
- Process checks for United Way, Grants, Agencies, and Corporate Assistance
- Verify customer and accounting information for accuracy
- Verify internal approvals have been obtained and documented
- Enter data into the software system in a timely manner
- Maintain organized records of transactions, including a general ledger book
- Post monthly journal entries for Controller in MIP
- Assist Accounts Payable Manager by providing transaction documentation upon request
- Participate in departmental and organizational events
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge / Skills
- Basic accounting and mathematical skills
- Ability to remain focused under pressure
- Detail‑oriented
- Understanding of accounts payable processes
- Working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets
- Ability to learn new software systems (experience in Abila or MIP software is a plus)
- Comfortable working in a team environment
Education & Experience
Relevant accounts payable or check processing experience preferred.
Working Conditions
Normal office environment with occasional overtime.
Other
Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance.
