Nekter is a retail smoothie, açaí bowl and fresh juice bar that is native to California and presently making its way to Alabama. This location will be the first of its kind and welcomes the opportunity for new hires to be part of history. Nekter believes that each team member makes a significant contribution to our success. Job Summary:

A Juicer is required to deliver the ultimate guest experience of the Nekter brand. The team member should be knowledgeable, efficient, and provide an energizing guest experience. Juicers should be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of all Nekter product nutritional information and clearly communicate this information to both guests and team members in the store.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Clean equipment and work areas to Nekter Juice Bar Standards. Stock supplies on an ongoing basis. Clean and maintain customer access areas to include front area, restrooms, parking lot, and any other area to Nekter Juice Bar standards. Consistently serve all Nekter Juice Bar products to specifications. Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products. Ensure cleanses and information pertaining to Nekter products are handed out in a timely manner. Ensure shift leaders or a manager handout cleanses products. Rinse and wash product before serving. Work register, prep, clean, and juice as directed by the manager on duty. Execute proper portion control with all ingredients. Must be able to operate the cash register. Handle cash transactions while adhering to Nekter cash handling policies. Knows and effectively executes Nekter Juice Bar promotions. Handles Nekter Juice Bar coupons and gift cards according to standards.

Qualifications

1 Year of experience in the restaurant or retail industry preferred, but not required
High school degree preferred
Food Handler card provided prior to employment
Must be at least 16 years of age
Extended periods of standing (4-8 hours)
Reaching, bending, and lifting a minimum of 50 pounds

Responsibilities

Prepare fresh juices, smoothies, and other beverage offerings with precision and consistency.
Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions efficiently.
Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders and answering inquiries about menu items.
Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in all food preparation areas.
Manage cash handling accurately, including cashiering duties and retail math calculations.
Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
Uphold food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times.
Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy hours.
Support team members in maintaining a welcoming café environment focused on excellent customer service.
Experience

Previous barista or coffee experience is highly desirable.
Experience in food service or retail environments involving POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
Strong skills in sales, serving, cash handling, and basic math are preferred.
Familiarity with food safety standards and food preparation techniques within the food industry.
Proven ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting while delivering exceptional customer service.
