Responsibilities
Administrative support includes:
- Oral and written communication with volunteers and donors
- Database management
- Report preparation for staff and volunteers
- Preparation of mailings
- Proofreading documents
- Collation of meeting materials
- Filing
- Phone reception
- Customer service
- Project management
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge / Skills
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong administrative and clerical skills (maintaining donor files, typing, answering phones, mail merges, purchase orders, email, postage machine)
- Experience working with a CRM database or equivalent
- Ability to draft and edit memos and letters
- Excellent phone communication skills
- Ability to perform effectively in a team environment
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- High level of organization
- Self‑motivated and goal‑oriented
- Good listening skills
- Attention to detail and strong time‑management abilities
- Able to establish priorities and work with multiple tasks
- Genuine interest in the United Way mission
- Other duties as assigned
Education
Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience
3–5 years of experience in an administrative role preferred.
