Workshops Empowerment’s 5th Annual Great Birmingham Bake Off at Cahaba Brewing Company

Workshops Empowerment Inc. is excited to host the fifth annual Great Birmingham
Bake Off on April 4th, 2026. Contestants use our WE Made baking mixes (Pound Cake, Hummingbird
Cake, Buttermilk Biscuits, Buttermilk Cornbread) to create their own delicious baked goods. Competitors
can register online at bakeoff.swell.gives. Local judges will choose the Grand Champion and Team
Spirit award. The public will get to vote for People’s Choice.
The event will take place at Cahaba Brewing Company on April 4th. Tickets are $20 and include samples
of every team’s special dish as well as a Cahaba Brewing Beer. All proceeds will go towards fulfilling the
mission of Workshops Empowerment through funding our programs.
“We are very excited to put on the Great Birmingham Bake Of this year,” said Austin England,
Workshops Empowerment Inc. “Events like this really strengthen our presence in the community and
allow for people to learn more about the work we do.”
The event is expected to draw 300-400 people and about 20 teams to compete this year. Tickets can be
