Turkey Creek 101

Do you want to spend more time outside this year, but need more confidence being outdoors? Join our Naturalists at Turkey Creek Nature Preserve where we will review the fundamentals of enjoying our greenspaces.

This program is designed for our friends and families who want to spend more time outdoors but don’t know where to start. We will review safety in the outdoors, appropriate attire, outdoor activities, and how to make the most of your experience in nature. This program will include a short guided hike and a group creek walk! Turkey Creek 101 is geared towards our community members who are new to outdoor recreation and is appropriate for all ages.

Note: Bring comfortable shoes for the creek (old athletic shoes, sandals, crocs, etc.) and a water bottle. The hike will be approximately 1/3 mile on uneven terrain with moderate elevation change. Feel free to pack a lunch and picnic by the falls after the program!
