Sunday Supper Club – Mother’s Day Brunch Edition w/ Chef Bynum

Marc Anthony Robert Bynum was born and raised on Long Island as one of five siblings. His culinary passion ignited at a young age, inspired by watching his mother cook and witnessing the joy her meals brought to their family. Although he received no formal culinary education beyond a vocational program in high school, Chef Bynum honed his skills through relentless self-study and hands-on experience in some of Long Island’s most prestigious kitchens, earning acclaim from Newsday and The New York Times. He launched Marc Bynum Concepts, a hospitality consulting and private event company, before opening his first restaurant, Hush Bistro, in 2014, which received three stars from both Newsday and The New York Times. Chef Bynum then showcased his talents on Food Network’s Chopped, where he won three times, as well as Guy’s Grocery Games. Notably, his signature St. Louis Style ribs were featured on the cover of O Magazine, reflecting his commitment to culinary excellence and innovation along with his dedication to creating memorable dining experiences. In 2024 Chef Bynum brought his brand down to Birmingham, Alabama and has been building his catering business and food truck over the past year and a half. Recognizing Birmingham’s rapidly growing culinary scene and vibrant Southern food culture, Chef Bynum saw the city as the perfect place to expand his vision and share his elevated American cuisine with global influences.
