Sunday Supper Club feat. Chef Victor King
Victor King is a chef and restaurateur originally from Nolensville, Tennessee, where he grew up on a farm and developed a passion for cooking while helping his mother prepare meals for large gatherings. That early love for hospitality brought him to Birmingham, Alabama, in 2009 to attend Samford University.
In 2015, Victor opened his first restaurant, marking the beginning of his career in the culinary world. He is now the owner of The Essential, which opened in 2018 and has become a cornerstone of Birmingham’s dining community—known for its welcoming atmosphere and thoughtfully crafted menus.
Chef King joins a growing list of highly-respected, local chefs of Sunday Supper Club spotlights.
