Sunday Supper Club feat. Chef Matthew Siple

At 23, Matthew became head chef at Porch in Mountain Brook, an experience that shaped his approach to leadership and pushed him to continue developing his own culinary voice. He now serves as Sous Chef at Helen, where he works alongside a team committed to thoughtful, ingredient-driven cooking.

Outside of the restaurant, Matthew created Meals By Matty, a popup series that gives him the opportunity to step outside the structure of a restaurant kitchen and cook food entirely on his own terms. The series is rooted in seasonal ingredients, Southern influences, and techniques of fermentation, preservation, and from-scratch cooking.
