Alabama Pre/Post Adoption Connections (APAC)’s Trained Therapist Network (TTN) is a mini conference of sorts. This is a full-day training with Allison Davis Maxon, M.S., LMFT — Executive Director of the National Center on Adoption and Permanency and co-author of Seven Core Issues in Adoption and Permanency.

• Attuning to your own emotional landscape to manage trauma symptoms and toxic stress
• Identifying traumatic loss and grief in children
• Recognizing complex developmental trauma and attachment disruption
• Applying the Seven Core Issues framework for foster, kinship, and adoptive families
• Trauma-informed tools for healing within the parent-child relationship
