Lunch & Learn: Looking Anew at the BMA’s American Gallery

August 27, 2026 @ 12:00 pm - 1:15 pm
Lunch & Learn: Looking Anew at the BMA’s American Gallery

Have you noticed that works of art from the American gallery recently appeared in Monet to Matisse: French Moderns, 1850–1950 and will appear in Roll Call: Two Hundred Years of Black American Art? Attend this Lunch & Learn to see the more than ten new works that are on view while favorites from the gallery like Henry Ossawa Tanner’s Moroccan Scene and Charles Ethan Porter’s Still Life appear in these featured exhibitions. We will begin with a brief conversation in the gallery before connecting over lunch in the Members Room.

If you would like lunch, please choose from the Café BMA menu. Select the $25 lunch option when registering and send your meal selection to membership@artsbma.org. You are also welcome to join without dining.

To attend this program and place your order for lunch, please register by Friday, August 21. If you have any questions, please contact Kate Crawford at kcrawford@artsbma.org.

NOTE: This event is for Friends of American Art members only. You must be an active member of FOAA to attend. To learn more, visit the Support Groups page on our website.
