Lunch & Learn: BMA Objects Conservator Jamie Rigsby on Caring for Artwork

Meet the BMA’s Objects Conservator Jamie Rigsby at this Lunch & Learn program. Jamie arrived at the BMA last year and hit the ground running, working on treatment of collection objects, including those featured in our current featured exhibition Silver and Ceremony from Southern Asia, 1830–1930, and the upcoming exhibition Monet to Matisse: French Moderns, 1850–1950. At this Lunch & Learn, Jamie will share a bit about herself before talking about how to care for your own art and antiques at home. She will cover the basic handling and display of artworks, as well as cleaning and maintenance for works, including silver, photographs, quilts, and paintings.
