Lunar New Year & Mardis Gras Pop-Up with Chef Christine Lau at Adiõs

Celebrate the rare occasion of both Lunar New Year and Mardi Gras falling on the same day with a dim sum pop-up at Adiõs in collaboration with James Beard semifinalist Christine Lau. Raised in Oakland, California, by parents who emigrated from Hong Kong, Lau’s Chinese- American cuisine is shaped by her Bay Area upbringing and her years working in New York City. For this special event, she brings a Creole-inspired twist to traditional dim sum. Guests can enjoy Lau’s imaginative menu featuring a hot and sour gumbo with yee foo wonton, crab rangoon hot pockets with étouffée, turnip grit fries with XO, garlic coconut crawfish noodles and, for dessert, a coconut cream king cake bun. Adiõs will also offer drink specials curated by co-founder and beverage director José Medina Camacho, alongside Alabama Beer Co.’s Alabama Light Beer. This menu will be available exclusively for the event beginning at 6 p.m. until midnight or until sold out.
