Let’s Play Ball!

Since 2014, ¡HICA! has partnered with Birmingham’s minor league baseball team, the Birmingham Barons, for “Los Barons night”. The event brings together hundreds of our community members and ¡HICA! supporters to cheer on “Los Barons” as they play in uniforms specially designed for the event.

To add to the inclusivity of the event, the Barons announce the game in Spanish, play Latin music between the innings, and celebrate many aspects of Latino culture. This yearly event provides a huge boost, both from awareness and donations, to ¡HICA!. Los Barons Night completely embodies our mission of bridging the connection between Latinos and the mainstream community.
