Ladies Night at the Woodlawn Theatre – Celebrating Female Songwriters in Birmingham

Woodlawn Theatre is proud to continue its acclaimed monthly series, Ladies Night at the Theatre, spotlighting the diverse and powerful voices of female musical artists from across the Southeast. The next installment takes place Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 7:30 PM, and features performances by Rachael Wilson, Lolly Lee, and Cheyloe — three dynamic singer-songwriters delivering an evening of heartfelt storytelling and unforgettable sound.

Presented in partnership with The She Show, a Birmingham Mountain Radio initiative founded by Dru Cunningham, the event series is co-produced by organizer Craig Edmonds, who has helped curate each show to represent a broad spectrum of women’s experiences and talents.

“It’s more than a concert. It’s about amplifying voices that deserve to be heard,” said organizer Craig Edmonds. “By supporting these artists, you’re not just attending a show—you’re celebrating the spirit of community, creativity, and empowerment.”

The revitalized Woodlawn Theatre provides an intimate, seated listening-room experience for these performances, designed to foster connection between artist and audience.

“We believe music is meant to be shared. Songs are stories that are somehow intimate and personal yet at the same time universal. These shows offer a place for songwriters and listeners to connect,” said Will Mason, owner of Woodlawn Theatre. “Hosting Ladies Night at the Theatre aligns perfectly with our mission to nurture local talent and build community through music.”

Bekah Fox, General Manager of the venue, added: “Each Ladies Night is a testament to the incredible women who make up our music scene. It’s inspiring to see the audience connect with the artists’ stories and songs, creating a shared experience that matters to both.”

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased in advance at woodlawntheatrebham.com. Doors open at 7:00 PM, with music beginning at 7:30 PM.
