INDEPENDENT BOOKSTORE DAY!

It’s the greatest day of the year in the indie bookstore community, and a pretty darn good one for any reader: an all-day celebration of books and the people who love them! We are so proud of the community that has sprung up around TYB, and so profoundly grateful for the many ways in which y’all keep showing up: for browsing, book clubs, author events, story times, and social media hijinx. Thank you for every meaningful, hilarious, memorable conversation that has happened on the sales floor, for the friendships that have blossomed here. Thank you for reading stories to your children on our green rug, for bringing friends and family members along with you, for celebrating your special milestones in our midst. Thank you for choosing spending your hard-earned money with us. Every day, but on indie bookstore day especially, we take a moment to acknowledge how far we’ve come, and how much more we hope to be able to do.

With all that being said: LET’S PARTY! We’ll start with a special story time featuring Howard Pearlstein, which will include coffee for the grownups and treats for the kiddos. We’ll have new markdowns, exclusive indie bookstore merch, and drawings for giveaways that include book bundles and concert tickets. Plus some goodies free with purchase, just because!

From 4-5pm, our Firsties members will enjoy 10% off their purchases. And we’ll wind down with a happy hour from 4:30-6pm!
