HUEYTOWNS’ PRAYER BREAKFAST WITH CHRIS STEWART

The Hueytown Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to
invite you to join our community, along with Mayor Steve Ware, as we celebrate the National
Day of Prayer with our 4th Annual Mayor’s Community Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, May 1,
2025 at North Highlands Baptist Church, located at 4851 15th Street Road, Hueytown.
Doors open at 6:30 a.m. with breakfast at 6:45am, the program beginning at 7 a.m. and
ending at 8:30 a.m. The 2025 Prayer Breakfast focused on pillars of our community:
Government, Business, Schools, Faith, and Family.
Our Keynote Speaker is Christ Stewart. (bio attached)
“The National Day of Prayer is an opportunity for different denominations to come together
and pray for our city, state and nation,” said Mayor Steve Ware.
This is a free event and open to the public. To attend, a ticket is required. Tickets are
complementary thanks to our sponsor Waldrop, Stewart and Kendrick LLP and Black
Family Restaurants/ McDonald’s. The deadline to order ticket(s) is April 27. Tickets are
available at www.hueytownchamber.com . Seating is limited. Tickets will not be available on
the day of the event.

Hueytown Chamber’s Mayor’s Community Prayer Breakfast
Chris has been a broadcaster since 1988 and has been the Alabama’s men’s basketball play-
by-play announcer for the Crimson Tide Sports Network since 2002.
In addition to that role, Stewart also serves as the play-by-play announcer for CTSN’s radio
coverage of Crimson Tide Football and as the television host of “The Kalen DeBoer Show”
and “The Nate Oats Show”, along with hosting “Hey Coach” during the football and
basketball seasons.
Stewart also served as the radio play-by-play announcer for Bama Baseball, for 24 seasons.
A 1992 graduate of the University of Montevallo, Stewart was honored with the school’s
2009 Alumni Achievement Award and was a 2021 inductee into the UM Athletics Hall of
Fame.
On six occasions he has also been named “Alabama Sportscaster of the Year” by the
National Sports Media Association.
