H.U.G.S. Golden Gala Shines a Light on Childhood Cancer

H.U.G.S. 4 Childhood Cancer is proud to host the H.U.G.S. Golden Gala, an
evening dedicated to honoring courageous childhood cancer fighters, survivors, and siblings
whose strength continues to inspire the community.
The Golden Gala will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the
Shelby County Arts Council. This special night will bring together community leaders, sponsors,
advocates, and families for a meaningful celebration of hope and resilience. The event will
feature a welcome reception, dinner, moving family tribute videos, special recognitions,
entertainment by former Miss Alabama titleholders, and opportunities for guests to support
childhood cancer initiatives. A silent auction and sponsor appreciation segment will highlight the
businesses and individuals committed to advancing the mission.
“The Golden Gala is more than an event,” said Hannah Adams, Founder of H.U.G.S. 4
Childhood Cancer. “It’s a celebration of courage and a chance to shine a light on the impact
childhood cancer has on our local communities.”
H.U.G.S. 4 Childhood Cancer is dedicated to fighting for a future where no child ever has to
hear the words ‘you have cancer.’ The organization provides support through legislative
advocacy, family care initiatives, and community outreach.
Childhood cancer remains the leading cause of death by disease among children in the United
States, with approximately 42 families receiving a diagnosis every day.
All funds raised will support H.U.G.S. 4 Childhood Cancer’s care package program, advocacy
efforts, and awareness initiatives. This event not only raises essential resources but also fosters
a strong network of support for families affected by childhood cancer.
