Fortis Institute in Birmingham Hosts “Give Kids A Smile” Event
On Monday, Feb. 16, Fortis Institute in Birmingham will put kids’ smiles first by participating in the American Dental Association (ADA) Foundation’s “Give Kids A Smile” program. The event is part of a national initiative dedicated to helping children build lifelong oral health habits.
Students from the Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene programs will lead interactive oral health education activities. Attendees can participate in hands-on demonstrations using teeth models to practice proper brushing and flossing techniques and visit stations offering visual oral screenings and fluoride varnish applications. Participants will also receive oral hygiene products and samples to take home to support healthy habits.
The event will be hosted from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on the Fortis Institute in Birmingham campus, located at 100 London Parkway, Suite 150.
