Field Trip Lake Guntersville (Free!)
Start the New Year off right with a serving of Bald Eagles, loons, gulls, waterfowl, and winter songbirds in and around Lake Guntersville and the nearby State Park. The lake itself is picturesque, but the crowning glory is that Guntersville is well-established as THE place in North Alabama to get excellent looks at Bald Eagles.TRAVEL INFORMATION : We will have two meeting location options: (1) At the Birmingham Botanical Gardens parking lot at 7:00 am. The Birmingham group will caravan/carpool to meet up with the Guntersville group; or (2) In Guntersville at the McDonald’s restaurant on US 431 at 8:30 am.
