Join Bare Hands for its 23rd annual Día de los Muertos festival—one of the Southeast’s most vibrant cultural Day of the Dead celebrations. This immersive event transforms historic Sloss Furnaces into a space filled with color, art, music, and remembrance.
Festival highlights include large-scale art installations, handcrafted altars (ofrendas), parade puppets, papier-mâché masks, face painting, and a memorial roll call honoring loved ones who have passed. Guests will enjoy live performances from mariachi, folklórico dancers, Aztec traditions, spoken word artists, a lively second-line procession led by a New Orleans–style brass band and headlining band Grupo Retro. The evening also features Latin-American cuisine, a bustling art market with local artists and vendors, and community art activities for all ages.
