In honor of Black Maternal Health Week, the Lambda Eta Sigma Chapter is proud to present a free community event as part of our Project Cradle Care initiative. This program raises awareness for the urgent disparities in maternal and infant health outcomes among Black women.

⚠️ In Alabama, Black women are 3x more likely to die in childbirth than their white counterparts.

Together with Oasis Women’s Health – Dr. Heather Skanes & Dr. Jamie McKinney – we will distribute essential resources to expectant mothers and families with young children, including:

• Diapers & wipes

• Maternity items

• Gift cards

• Children’s books

• Postpartum & counseling resources

This event has made a tremendous impact for the past 3 years, and we’re committed to continuing that work right here in Jefferson County.
