Girls Like Me, Inc. will be hosting a Leadership Forum for Youth on July 26, 2025, at 1861

Centerpoint Parkway, Birmingham, Alabama 35215. Our youth face vulnerabilities due to laws

that are being strictly enforced within schools and their communities. Are they aware of the

potential impact on their futures?

Guest panelists will be present to discuss and answer questions related to incidents

occurring both on and off school grounds. Our youth will learn how their actions can

significantly affect their academic and career paths.

“Girls Like Me Birmingham is committed to taking a firm stand on educating our youth about

issues that were once addressed by parents but are now subject to school disciplinary

actions,

” said Tammara Turner-Miles. “With the rise of digital security, are young people aware

that they could face criminal charges? And do parents understand this?”

We have partnered with teachers from Schools districts and community leaders to address

these concerns.
