Awaken Recovery Run: Raising Awareness and Support for Recovery
BIRMINGHAM, AL – Awaken, a Birmingham-based nonprofit dedicated to helping individuals heal from sexual addiction and betrayal trauma, is hosting its 3rd Annual Awaken Recovery Run on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Black Creek Park in Fultondale. The event features a 10K, 5K, and 1-Mile Fun Run and is open to runners and walkers of all skill levels.

The Awaken Recovery Run is more than just a race—it’s an opportunity for the community to come together in support of healing, recovery, and freedom. Proceeds from the event will provide critical resources for Awaken’s support groups, recovery retreats, and church leader training programs.

“At Awaken, we believe everyone was meant to live in freedom,” said Greg Oliver, Executive Director of Awaken. “This race is a way to bring the community together to raise awareness and provide support for those seeking to live the lives they were created for.”
