Join the award-winning ASFA Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Robert Janssen, and their special guests, Mingusphere, for an unforgettable evening of jazz music at the historic Carver Theater in downtown Birmingham. Mingusphere features Rob Alley on trumpet, Gary Wheat on saxophone, Chris Kozak on bass, and Michael Glaser on drums. Enjoy ASFA’s budding jazz stars alongside seasoned professionals as they perform the music of Charles Mingus, Thelonious Monk, Herbie Hancock, Henry Mancini, Miles Davis, and more!
