AEC Roebuck Litter Pickup
Join the Alabama Environmental Council and Black Warrior Riverkeeper for a litter pickup Saturday, September 6, from 8:30-11:00 a.m. at the Roebuck Golf Course! Please RSVP & complete the liability waiver on our website at https://aeconline.org/event/09-06-2025/.
We’ll be meeting at 8:30 a.m. for a brief safety talk and to get everyone the supplies they need. If you have your own gloves, feel free to bring them. We suggest bringing a small backpack to carry any needed personal supplies while you’re walking.
Meeting location: Roebuck Golf Course, 8920 Roebuck Blvd., Birmingham, AL 35206
Safety: This event will take place along the roadside in an area that may not have sidewalks, so please only sign up if you feel comfortable with this.
What we encourage volunteers to wear/bring:
Comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting a little wet or dirty (preferably long pants)
Closed-toed shoes
Water
Sun protection (hats, sunglasses, sunscreen)
What we will provide:
Garbage bags
Gloves
Litter Pickers
Safety vests
