AAA Alabama Bringing TSA PreCheck Enrollment Event to Birmingham

Birmingham, Ala. – AAA Alabama will host a TSA PreCheck enrollment event Tuesday, August 25th – Friday, August 28th at its Birmingham branch, 2400 Acton Road. Appointments will be available from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. each day, and registration is now open.

Travelers can begin the enrollment process and schedule an appointment through IDEMIA, one of TSA’s authorized TSA PreCheck enrollment providers.

“TSA PreCheck can make getting through airport security easier and more convenient, especially for people who travel regularly,” said Sheri Falk, Public Affairs Manager for AAA Alabama. “We’re glad to bring an enrollment event to Birmingham and allow travelers to complete the process close to home.”

Enrolling in this service provides expedited security screening at participating U.S. airports. Members generally do not have to remove shoes, belts, light jackets, laptops, or 3-1-1 liquids from their carry-on bags during screening.

Applicants should complete the pre-enrollment process online and bring the required identification and citizenship documents to their appointment. Current enrollment fees, document requirements, and payment information are available through IDEMIA.

  • Renewal: $66.75 for in-person; $58.75 for online
• Required documents:
  • Valid US license (must be REAL ID/Star ID compliant if applicant does not have a valid passport)
  • Proof of citizenship – choose one of two
    • Valid US passport
    • Certified copy of birth certificate
