A Refugee’s Journey

Birmingham Cross Cultural Connections (CCC) invites the local community to attend a free, walk-through immersive experience hosted at First Baptist Church Hoover (2025 Patton Chapel Road, Hoover, AL 35216). This interactive event offers attendees a firsthand look into the lives, struggles, and triumphs of refugees and immigrants rebuilding their lives in the Birmingham area.
As attendees walk through 12 interactive stations, they will follow the real-life story of one of seven brave refugees or immigrants. The self-guided tour walks visitors through:
- The intense refugee application and vetting process.
- The harrowing circumstances and conflicts these individuals are fleeing.
- How Birmingham Cross Cultural Connections supports families from initial arrival all the way to long-term flourishing.
