A.G. Gaston Boys & Girls Clubs Announces its 60th Anniversary Celebration Dinner Featuring Special Live Fireside Chat with NFL Quarterback Jalen Hurt

The A.G. Gaston Boys & Girls Clubs (AGGBGC) proudly announces its
60th Anniversary Celebration Dinner, a landmark observance honoring six decades of empowering Birmingham
youth through mentorship, academic support, leadership development, and life-changing opportunities. The
event will take place on Thursday, May 14th at Renaissance Ross Bridge Golf Resort & Spa, bringing together
community leaders, supporters, alumni, and partners for an evening of inspiration and reflection.
A highlight of this milestone celebration will be a live, fireside chat with NFL All-Star quarterback Jalen Hurts,
known for his leadership, resilience, and commitment to community upliftment. Hurts will share insights on
perseverance, character, and the vital impact of investing in young people.

The A.G. Gaston Boys & Girls Clubs traces its origins to 1966. Alabama native and African American
businessman, entrepreneur and philanthropist Dr. A.G. Gaston recognized a critical need for safe, structured,
and enriching environments for young Black boys in the Birmingham community. Guided by his core belief in
“finding a need and filling it,” Dr. Gaston sought to create a place where youth could gather, learn essential life
lessons, and gain academic support.
The funds raised at the 60th Anniversary Celebration Dinner will support 2100+ youth across Greater
Birmingham through afterschool, summer and enrichment programming and enable the A.G. Gaston Boys &
Girls Clubs to open additional locations across the area. Sponsorships for the 60th Anniversary Celebration
