10 a.m. | Guest Lecture: Richie Steffen  | Lecture Hall 

Join Richie Steffen, Executive Director of the Elisabeth C. Miller Botanical Garden, for   “Victorian Ideas for the Modern Shade Garden.” Learn how Victorians cultivated their love of ferns and shade gardens, and how you can bring those timeless ideas into your home garden. Richie will share some of the best ferns and shade-garden plants to add to your ferneries, stumperies, and container displays. 

A noted lecturer and horticultural personality, Richie is co-author and co-photographer of “The Plant Lover’s Guide to Ferns.” Don’t miss his inspiring presentation!
