Diamond Impact Awards
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama, through its philanthropic arm, The Caring Foundation, is proud to announce the return of the Diamond Impact Awards, an annual initiative recognizing nonprofit organizations that are transforming healthcare access, quality, and education across Alabama. Now entering its second year, the program will focus its 2026 funding cycle on innovative solutions that improve women’s and maternal health statewide.
The Diamond Impact Awards were launched to honor community-driven organizations whose work delivers measurable, meaningful improvements in the lives of Alabamians. For 2026, The Caring Foundation will award up to $300,000 in total funding, with individual grants of up to $100,000 available for organizations demonstrating exceptional innovation and impact in maternal health. Award determinations will be based on the number of applications received, the strength of each proposal, and the demonstrated need within the communities served.
“The Diamond Impact Awards highlight the extraordinary work happening in communities across Alabama,” said Sophie Martin, Director of Corporate Communications and Community Relations, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama. “By focusing this year’s funding on maternal health, we aim to support organizations that are developing forward-thinking solutions to improve outcomes for women and families.”

Nonprofit organizations across Alabama are encouraged to submit a Letter of Intent and help advance a healthier future for mothers and children statewide.
