Southern Baseball Association – Spring baseball season

Southside Baseball Association, a longtime Birmingham nonprofit and community gem, is now accepting registrations for its Spring baseball season through February 7, 2026.

Founded in 1953, Southside Baseball has served generations of Birmingham youth by offering T-ball and baseball in a welcoming, diverse environment. All games are played at Avondale Park, placing the diverse program in the heart of the city it has proudly called home for more than 70 years.

Southside Baseball is committed to more than just the game — emphasizing character, sportsmanship, resilience, and community connection to create a positive experience for players and families alike.

The league is also celebrating recent field lighting improvements made possible through the generous support of Alabama Power. Updated lighting at Avondale Park will enhance both the player and spectator experience this season while improving safety.
