Meet Forest Park Pilates owner Candice Nance
Candice Nance is a certified Pilates instructor originally from North Carolina. After years of teaching in the Charlotte area, she opened her own award-winning studio in 2022.
She met and married her Birmingham husband in 2025, and the couple bought a home in Forest Park. That’s when the idea for a neighborhood studio took shape.
Nance is known for her playlists, rescue animal stories and learning every client’s Enneagram. Her goal is for every client to feel valued, safe and better when they leave than when they arrived.
A third space in historic Forest Park
The studio describes itself as a third space to connect with yourself, strengthen your body and build community with your neighbors. Forest Park Pilates offers small group classes along with private and duet sessions, with an emphasis on small classes and certified instructors. The studio says it wants Pilates to be accessible to every body at every stage of life.
Classes and private sessions are available by schedule. You can browse and book on the studio’s website.
