Birmingham entrepreneur hub Junction 1910 opens in Ensley

Junction 1910, a new entrepreneurial resource hub, opened today in historic Ensley.

Located at 180119th Street in Birmingham, across from Erskine Hawkins Park, Junction 1910 was established by U.S. Navy veteran Hartnel Lambert to give entrepreneurs a consistent place to find support, build relationships, learn about opportunities and connect with organizations that can help them start, grow and expand their businesses.

Think of it as a walk-in help desk for anyone trying to start or grow a business in West Birmingham.

Working in partnership with Network Navigator

At the center of the hub’s entrepreneurial work is Network Navigator, the highly regarded nonprofit founded by Naila Jackson that supports and connects solopreneurs, microbusinesses and small business owners with capital and resources they need to start, grow and sustain their businesses.

Since it was opened in 2024, Network Navigator has engaged more than 5,000 individuals across Alabama.

“I want people to understand this is not a co-working space in the traditional sense. There are no memberships. We’re not looking to sell you anything. As a matter of fact, we’re here to help you sell. We’re here to help you grow your business.When you come here we will connect you with a resource partner. We have banking partners that will be here. We will have legal assistance. We will have financial assistance. We will have everything that you can think of, including a procurement lab.”

Junction 1910’s  Ensley location will make it easier for entrepreneurs in Birmingham’s western corridor to access a network of business and economic development resources.

Upcoming Events at Junction 1910 in Ensley

The Ensley grand opening on Monday, September 14, 2026 attracted about 70+ entrepreneurs and supporters. It is just the beginning.

This month, the following events are planned at the “Junction:”

• September 16, Noon to 1PM – Nonprofit Leadership Luncheon
• September 23, 11AM to 1PM – Start Here Founder Open House Luncheon
• September 30, 5PM to 7PM – The Quarter Wind Down
