Pazzo Italian: Vestavia Hills gets a new sit-down Italian restaurant

A new authentic Italian restaurant called Pazzo Italian has opened in Vestavia Hills.
Located behind the water fountain at the former Napoli Pizza site on 2516 Rocky Ridge Road, the new space started serving the public the week of August 19, 2026.
Pazzo offers an extensive Italian cuisine menu

Vestavia’s newest sit-down restaurant, Pazzo offers a wide range of Italian delicacies including:
- Rigatoni Bolognese
- Gnocchi
- Chicken piccata
- Burrata salad
- Baked spinach + goat cheese souffle
- Gelato flight, tiramisu + limoncello cake
- Bread offerings
This is the second Pazzo restaurant in the Birmingham metro area. The other one is Pazzo Big Slice Pizza on Montgomery Highway in Hoover.
Pazzo owner Mohammed Ezez, who is called “Mo” by the staff, has been in the restaurant business for 40 years. He said the eatery will periodically change its menu and offer daily specials.
“We are looking forward to feeding the city of Vestavia and the surrounding areas. We have a huge experience in Italian cooking… Rigatoni Bolognese is one of the most famous dishes so far since we opened.”
In addition to the food, the restaurant has a great vibe, and it’s a cozy place for a date or a special anniversary.
